Planet Solar

Our system is the Planet solar, it’s a boat powered by solar panels. And the boat can also produce his own hydrogen.  The goal of this project is to do the first world tour of a boat powered by solar energy, the project was elaborate in Switzerland by Raphael Domjan. This boat measures 31 m, the height is about 7m and the weight is 90 tons. It’s power by a lithium battery of 1100 kWh. There is 537m² of solar panels on the deck. The crew of the boat is composed of 4 members. The solar energy was transformed and send to the propellers. The medium pace of the boat is about 5 knots and when it reaches that speed the consummation of the motors is 20 kWh.
