A car is a technology to move quickly. Electric cars is a new technology to move eco-friendly. Electrics cars are created for an ecological aim because today is important for the world however if this electricity is created from a nuclear power plant it’s not very ecological.

3) Characteristics 

 

EV doesn’t make any noise, in the utilization they doesn’t reject CO2, like they are electric cars they have a less autonomy than normal cars, for the moment EV are for big towns like Paris, Lyon, London however it’s not practical for big journeys. The dimensions of EV are the same or almost than normal vehicles (Renault Clio, Peugeot 308.) The electricity cost less than petrol so to recharge the car, it’s cheaper. 

 

4) Position 

 

Mostly all the components of an EV are in front of the car except for the battery and all systems connected to it’s like the cooling system battery and the battery management calculator. 

 

5) Connections between parts 

 

Even if the components are different they are connected the same way.  We have some cables which can link some elements like the battery and the cooling battery system. 

 

6) Vocabulary  

 

Fast charging terminal = borne de charge rapide 

 

Charging pipe (charging current + internet connection) = Tuyau de charge (courant de charge + connection internet) 

 

Charging outlet = prise de charge 

 

Charging Current (three-phased current 400V) = Courant de charge en triphasé 400V 

 

High bandwith internet connection = Connection internet haut-débit 

 

Interconnection Box = boitier d’interconnection 

 

UPS with integrated charger function = Onduleur avec function chargeur intégré 

 

Cooling battery system = refroidissement batterie
